VitaVie Financial Planning, an independent fee-only financial planning firm, is committed to protecting our clients' confidential information. To be able to deliver our financial planning and coaching services effectively, we do collect non-public information as part of our process. We hold this information in strict confidentiality following the privacy policy outlined below.
- All non-public information exchanged between the client ("you") and the company shall be treated as confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties, except as expressly requested by you or as required by law. (Examples include: if you request that we discuss your financial situation with your lawyer on your behalf or if regulators or law enforcement authorities require that we share information).
- We maintain all personally identifiable information about you throughout your tenure as a client and for the record retention time thereafter that federal and state securities laws require. We also maintain compliancy with the CFP® Board Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility. After record retention time frames are met, all such information is destroyed.
- For unaffiliated third parties that require access to your personal information in the course of conducting their business (for example, auditors), we require strict confidentiality in our agreements and expect that they keep all information private. To date, we have not yet had an occasion where any unaffiliated third party has needed access to our records.
- We do not rent, sell or provide your personally identifiable information to third parties for solicitation.
We maintain a secure office environment to ensure that your information is not placed at unreasonable risk.
